Does your student love the spotlight? Come be a part of one of our 2-week intensive musical theatre camps. Our camps are open to all levels of experience and interests. Performers are immersed in an intense, fun endeavor to build an entire show using teamwork while expanding their skills. Students build confidence, gain experience, make friends and have a lot of fun. At camp’s end, students will perform in a full production (costumes, makeup, set, lighting) for family and friends. Performers will be challenged to master complex music, choreography and follow professional direction. CAPA Summer Musical Theatre Camps are open to Grades 5-8 and 9-12 from the Tri-State area. You must be registered for the camp to participate in the auditions. Please NOTE: NO REFUNDS AFTER APRIL 23RD. Set sail with this classic comedy that boasts one of the most famous patter songs in musical theatre history. The wit and whimsy of Gilbert and Sullivan’s classic score is suffused with a modern sensibility in The Pirates of Penzance JR., a swashbuckling musical journey!
Set on the rocky coast of Cornwall, England, The Pirates of Penzance JR. begins with a group of pirates who are celebrating the birthday of one of their own, Frederic, who has reached his 21st year. Finally having served the full length of his required time with the pirates, he decides to strike off on his own and become an upstanding citizen – which may even mean bringing the pirates to justice. Thus turns out to be a tricky prospect indeed, especially when Frederic’s freedom is called into question!

Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that’s been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird.  Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.  Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!t of Cornwall, England, The Pirates of Penzance JR. begins with a group of pirates who are celebrating the birthday of one of their own, Frederic, who has reached his 21st year.
