JAZZ/HIP-HOP
Dance Class Grades K-2
The forever evolving world of “jazz-funk” and current music make learning Hip-Hop and Jazz styles incredibly dynamic and relevant for dancers. Jazz/Hip Hop is a popular class concept that infuses the funky style of hip-hop with the technical side of jazz.  Students will learn the fundamentals of each style such as isolations and flexibility. This class will encourage students to dance outside of the box and bring their own personality to each movement.  New skills will be explored and become more challenging throughout the session culminating in a performance for families and friends at the end of the Spring Session.  The class is open to any interested student in Grades K-2, even if they didn’t participate in the Fall Session and spaces are limited to 15 students. Registration is based on a first come first serve basis.

SCENES & STORIES
Theatre Class Grades 3-5
This 10 week class inspired by Peter Pan is designed to challenge each young actor by identifying and building on their current skills and setting new goals. Scene study, character development, stage presence, physicality, listening on stage, memorization and the Meisner approach to acting will be covered.  All experience levels welcome. No auditions needed!  Each student will set their own goals as we help them further their acting/character building skill learning the terms and techniques of stage acting, singing and dancing.  Students will have the opportunity to explore all three areas of study. This class concludes with a performance for friends and family on the last day of class.
