Many people in our community remember Courtney Lucien for when she played Belle in “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast” .
This is just a quick note to let you know that Courtney Lucien will be returning to the stage here in Cincinnati to perform as Anne Frank, in “The Diary of Anne Frank” at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company. As any proud parent would, I try to get the word out to those who might be interested in seeing her perform.
Here is the description of the play from Cincinnati Shakespeare Company:
“In a tiny attic in Amsterdam in 1944, two families of Jewish refugees hide in silence from the Nazi Regime below. Unable to speak for fear of being discovered, the young Anne Frank tells her story by writing in her diary. The Diary of Anne Frank is a harrowingly intimate view of history’s greatest atrocity as seen through the eyes of one extraordinary young girl. The chronicle of her family’s experience endures as both a condemning indictment of man’s capacity for cruelty and a celebration of the resilience of the human spirit.”[/su_quote]
The show opens on Friday, September 9, and runs through Saturday, October 1. Shows are predominantly on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings at 7:30, but there are a couple of Sunday matinees as well. To see the full schedule, and to purchase tickets, go to

Congratulations to our talented and dedicated teachers who put together the Holiday on the Hill event this past Sunday December 13th. Over 40 Indian Hill Performing Arts students and our Acapella Village Voices performed for a full house. The Final song was a special performance by our three teachers, which was an absolute treat! When Kimberly first shared her idea of this concert (just 4 weeks ago) and the reasons behind starting this tradition, we knew It would be a success because of her never ending energy and dedication to help IHPA grow. The Holiday on the Hill was held at the Indian Hill Church and followed with a cookie, hot chocolate and punch reception. This was an incredible opportunity for our students to shine and perform and the annual tradition will continue! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!
